Traditional Chesterfield armchairThe great thing about an Oxbridge interview is that it lets you think about the subject you love – all you need to do is keep your nerves in check so that you can answer logically, fluently and with confidence.

The tutors are interviewing you as they want to work out how you think and respond to new material in order to assess whether Oxford or Cambridge is right for you.

Remember that they are not trying to catch you out. The interview process is not about excluding the worst; it’s about finding the best students who will thrive in the tutorial/supervision system.
