The Premier Service

The Premier Service is our most comprehensive and personalised programme, providing the highest level of subject-specific support at every stage of the Oxbridge application process. It is designed for those applicants who wish to be challenged academically, and who want to ensure that their application reflects their true potential.

Every step of the Premier Service programme is underpinned by our core values:

The Premier Service Programme

The Premier Service helps with every step of the application process. On joining the Premier Service, each applicant is assigned a dedicated Premier Service consultant who will be their main point of contact throughout the programme. Our consultant will offer advice at all stages of the application process, and provide constant support for the applicant.

Our Support

University and Course Selection

Deciding on the right university, course and college are important steps in the application process. Admissions tutors are looking for applicants who can demonstrate real motivation to study their course. In the initial Private Consultation, our consultant will make an assessment of an applicant’s ability and provide objective and constructive feedback on the best course and university choice.

College Selection

Drawing on our internal research and knowledge as to what admissions tutors look for in their ideal candidate, Oxbridge’s own admissions statistics and an applicant’s preferences and interests (as determined by our college questionnaire), the Premier Service consultant will guide the applicant through their college choice. After compiling the research, the applicant will receive a shortlist of three colleges, which we deem to be the best match. The Premier Service consultant will then help to guide the applicant to their final choice.

14 Hours of One-to-One Mentoring  To help applicants demonstrate their academic potential beyond their school syllabus, we assign each applicant a personal mentor who studied their chosen subject at their university. The mentor provides 14 hours of subject-focused private tuition, designed to promote independent thinking, whilst moving applicants towards undergraduate degree level.
Further Subject-Specific Guidance All applicants are invited to attend the exclusive Premier Service Day, held in London in mid-September. The day includes a subject-focused small-group tutorial to familiarise applicants with the Oxbridge teaching system. Applicants will receive an introduction to interview skills and preliminary mock interviews. Full feedback is provided, ensuring that each applicant understands the areas they most need to focus on during the next three months.

Personal Statement

The personal statement is an essential part of a successful application (over 70% of applicants who we worked with last year were asked about this at interview). To ensure applicants submit an outstanding personal statement, we provide examples of past personal statements and guidelines to help applicants write their first draft, followed by support from their mentor for redrafting. The final draft is then checked by a former Oxbridge admissions tutor.

 Admissions Tests

Should Premier clients be required to sit an admissions test as part of their application, they will receive a private two-hour preparation session with one of our admissions test experts. Applicants will also receive the relevant test preparation guide, sample mock tests and answer guides, as well as a place at one of our Admissions Test Seminars, held in London on the 9th and 16th of October.

 Further Reading

In addition to the further reading set by the mentor, applicants will receive a comprehensive reading list from our Premier Service consultant, as well as topical articles specific to their course.

 Interview

Interview Preparation Weekend
Our research shows interview practice can make a real difference to an applicant’s final performance. The intensive weekend consists of: subject-focused academic tutorials conducted by our Oxbridge-educated tutors, advice from former admissions tutors, and six rigorous mock interviews (including one with a former admissions tutor), all designed to develop the key abilities sought in successful applicants: flexibility, creativity and independent lateral thinking. This year’s Interview Preparation Weekend will take place from Friday 29th October until Sunday 31st October.

Interview Preparation Days
For further preparation, applicants can receive additional mock interviews at one of our Interview Preparation Days held across the country in November and December.

Two-hour Private Session with our Communications Expert
This session is an unrivalled opportunity to work on both an applicant's confidence and communication skills, which are essential for an application to Oxbridge as well as to other universities and, of course, future job interviews.

Our Success Rate

Our Premier Service programme has the highest application success rate of all our services, with a 54% success rate, compared with the average Oxbridge applicant success rate of 21%.

How to Apply

On the Premier Service, we maintain an invitation-only programme, working with those applicants who feel will benefit most from our expert support. The first step to joining the Premier Service is to arrange a Private Consultation.

The Private Consultation is an invaluable first step for students (and their parents) considering an application to Oxbridge.

After the Consultation, if we feel a student will benefit from our guidance, and in turn they would like us to help them through the application process, we will invite them to join the Premier Service.
