Private Consultations

A Private Consultation ia a one-hour meeting in our Mayfair office, or over the telephone, to give individual advice to applicants and parents, answer specific queries and give feedback on strengths and weaknesses.

Private Consultations are conducted by one of our expert full-time Consultants, all Oxbridge graduates themselves, who each have many years' experience of interviewing and providing constructive feedback to applicants.

The structure of a one-hour Private Consultation

The first 20 minutes	A subject-specific mock interview with the student alone, allowing for the early identification of an applicant's key strengths and areas that require further work, before encountering the required tests or interviews.
The second 20 minutes	Our consultant gives an overview of the above with the applicant's parents. This period provides an opportunity for parents to discuss their son or daughter's application and express any concerns they may have. Parents can find out from our consultant how they can help their son/daughter improve their chances of success. During this 20 minutes, the applicant sits in a separate room and answers questions pertaining to college choice. They may also be asked to answer a problem or essay question.
The third 20 minutes	The applicant rejoins their parent(s) and consultant and is given feedback from the earlier mock interview. A structured overview is given as to how best to proceed. This is a chance to ask any further questions.
Within two days	Full written feedback is sent as a follow-up to the Consultation. Should any further questions arise, the consultant will be more than happy to address these over email or on the telephone.
