Course & College Reports

With over ten years' experience and independent research, we have an excellent knowledge and understanding about the application process.

Our detailed Course and College Reports reflect this very experience and have been written to provide prospective Oxbridge undergraduates with important, interesting research-based intelligence to help maximise their chances of success when making an application to Oxford or Cambridge Universities.

Course Reports

To make a strong application, students need to spend time researching and thinking about what they want to study and why.

Interviews often include questions such as Why did you choose this course? What would you enjoy about this course? and Why Oxford/Cambridge? It is important to remember that interviews are conducted by admissions tutors and professors who have dedicated their lives to the subject, and so it's important that students are genuinely inspired motivated by their chosen course.

Written by a graduate of the respective subject, our Course Reports give students an accurate insight into each Oxbridge course.

  • A detailed description and breakdown of the course structure and format of each year of the course
  • Subject-specific advice on how to prepare for the interviews
  • Reading recommendations from students of the course
  • What to expect at interview, including ten years of real past interview questions for that course

It's so important to thoroughly research your course. I wanted to study medical biology but I did not want to read Medicine at University. I had almost resigned myself to applying for Medicine, when a teacher suggested I look at the Physiological Sciences course at Oxford. I spent time finding out more about it, and realised it was exactly what I was interested in. Finding a course I really wanted to do focused my application; it really motivated me and I know this ultimately helped me to succeed.

Alexandra, Oxbridge Applications tutor and graduate of Physiological Sciences, Oxford

My life at Cambridge was very much focused around the college. Visiting colleges and researching them thoroughly is an important part of the application process. You don't want to end up being somewhere you dislike. Choosing a college (or deciding on an open application) is a personal decision; so don't be afraid to take time to think about it.

Nick, Oxbridge Applications tutor and graduate of Corpus Christi, Cambridge.
