Effect of tuition fees

The first evidence of an effect of the rise in tuition fees this year, has been reported in the Telegraph. Although Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine courses have had roughly the same number of applicants (despite a 2% drop in applicants for all subjects and universities), other courses - such as Media Studies and PR have seen application rates fall by 40%.
