No confidence in reforms

150 Cambridge academics have signed a motion of no confidence in the universities minister and the new reforms to tuition fees, following 170 Oxford academics seeking signatures for a similar motion last month.

The academics disagree with the almost trebling of tuition fees for undergraduates.  One fellow of Queens' College, Cambridge complained of the 'marketisation of higher education' - rendering it a commodity rather than a tool for social good.
