Dukes Medical Applications is a new constellation of bespoke programmes from the Dukes Education Group, a cutting-edge global provider of education consultancy services.
Oxbridge Applications, an arm of the Dukes Education Group, was established in 1999 and is the global leader in Oxbridge admissions consulting and applications to top medical schools. Dukes Medical Applications draws from the expertise of Oxbridge Applications’ almost two decades of experience guiding and supporting undergraduate applications to Oxford, Cambridge and other UK medical schools.
We build upon admissions expertise, as well as detailed experience and research to extend a support programme that will enable you to maximise your chance of being a successful candidate to your chosen university. Through our medical school admission programmes, we help you to develop confidence as a potential medical professional by building on your academic and personal strengths rather than simply ‘serving you a place’. We believe that supporting applicants through programmes that centre academic rigour, specialist tutoring and experienced guidance is the best way to to see results.
Our Medical Consultations are opportunities for applicants and their families to meet with one of our Senior
Medical Consultants for a bespoke, research-led assessment of a candidate’s capacity to submit a strong medical application. Every year we conduct extensive research into the application process and interviews at each medical school, including Oxford and Cambridge, which comprises the backbone of our Medical Consultations. The Senior Medical Consultants who lead each Medical Consultation are graduates in Medicine from top UK universities whose medical and admissions expertise inform our bespoke consultations.
A Medical Consultation is divided into three key sections:
- Subject-specific mock interview. In a one-to-one interview environment, we will assess a student’s communication, subject-knowledge and potential to study their subject at university using real past interview questions.
- Parent consultation. Following the mock interview, we will ask the student to leave the session in order to discuss their performance with the family. This is also a chance to ask questions you may have about any aspect of the application process.
- Evaluation and next steps. As a group, we will discuss a strategy for developing the student’s skills in each area of the application process.
The Medical Application Programme
In the past 18 years, we have supported 60,000 applicants in over 120 countries, whilst also working annually with a global network of over 400 schools. We have aided hundreds of applicants to win places at top medical schools across the country through long-term tailored guidance in the form of our Medical Application Programme. 50% of Oxbridge Medical applicants on our Medical Application Programme received an offer to study Medicine, compared to the average of 15.2% for all applicants to Oxbridge Medicine.
If you are considering applying to medical school, a Medical Consultation with one of our Senior Medical Consultants is the best possible way to build a bespoke plan for preparation that will help you maximise your chances of winning a place. Book your consultation by contacting our consultants on:
