TSA Course Structure
As an introduction to the day, you will learn how your test is used in the admissions process. The introduction will guide you in the way that you need to start thinking in order to maximise your chances of success in the test. The day consists of three main elements, as set out below.
Included in the cost of the day are all four of our unique mock TSA mock test papers, written by our test experts. Two will be marked and returned to you.
Multiple Choice Questions.
You are taught how to identify types of question and the techniques needed to answer them, ensuring you can respond to questions logically and effectively. Our consultant shows you how to identify arguments and logical gaps, allowing you to speed up your approach to these questions without losing accuracy.
Essay question support.
You are taught how to choose the most suitable questions for your own knowledge base. Our expert TSA consultant discusses strategies for planning and using examples to strengthen the essay’s arguments, in order to help you present a coherent, concise and well-supported essay within the challenging half an hour window.
Due to the time pressure for this test, practice is essential, as even the best students struggle to finish in time. You will be sent a TSA Oxford mock paper to sit before the day. As part of the course, you’ll also sit a practice paper, to time and in exam conditions. Both papers will be marked and returned to you within 10 days of the Seminar.
