Applying to Oxbridge is an exciting, yet potentially daunting prospect. Internationally recognised as two of the best universities in the world, Oxford and Cambridge offer a world-class undergraduate experience, accessible to every student with ability, talent and academic potential.
Admission to Oxford and Cambridge becomes more competitive every year as increasing numbers of applicants compete for a finite number of places. In recent years both universities have introduced rigorous admissions tests for certain subjects, alongside the interviews, to help distinguish between the many strong applicants who apply.
Despite the fierce competition for places, the two universities still want to recruit the best and the brightest. They want applicants who show genuine motivation and inspiration for their subject, who can think independently, demonstrate flexibility of thought and have the academic potential, regardless of their background, to flourish in the Cambridge supervision and Oxford tutorial systems.
Since our foundation in 1999, Oxbridge Applications has helped over 55,000 applicants. Based on our own experiences and research, we know that the most beneficial way we can help students is to provide the tools needed to excel in admissions tests and the opportunity to engage intellectually, outside the constraints of the examination syllabus. It is about giving bright students a chance to think laterally and logically about their chosen subject, in an informed and considered way, so that they can demonstrate their full potential, individuality and teachability at every stage of the application process. Every element of our support is underpinned by this approach and is designed to meet an applicant’s individual needs.
Our work is supported by a team of exceptional Oxbridge-educated tutors, advisors and consultants, who understand that applying to university is a different experience for every student.
On behalf of everyone at Oxbridge Applications, I would like to wish you the very best of luck. Whilst no applicant can be coached to succeed, with the right support, good applicants are successful.
Should you have any questions at any stage of the application process, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We look forward to hearing from you..
All the best,

Oxbridge Applications was founded by James Uffindell in 1999 to give students the best chance of success when applying to Oxford and Cambridge. Now we work with more than 5000 students every year and have a success rate of 48% - twice that of the average Oxbridge applicant.
At Oxbridge Applications we use our knowledge and research, built up over twelve years, to guide and advise you on each element of your application, in order to maximise your chances of success.
This year we've been featured in The Telegraph, and last year we featured in The Independent, The Times and The Financial Times, as well as giving an interview for BBC Radio 4 and appearing on ITV's Tonight programme, advising students on their university choices.
