Founded in 1999, Oxbridge Applications is an independent, research-based education consultancy, providing bright students, parents and teachers, with advice and subject-focused support on applying to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Since our foundation, we have supported over 45,000 students and now work with 15% of all Oxbridge applicants each year. We work with a number of councils and schools, (from both the state and independent sector) to provide support and assistance with all aspects of the application process.
We are committed to providing experienced, honest advice to every applicant. Based on our own experiences and over ten years of research, we know that the most beneficial way we can help students is to provide opportunities to engage intellectually with their subject, outside the constraints of the examination syllabus. There is no grooming or coaching, it is about giving bright students the chance to think laterally and logically about their chosen course, in an informed and considered way, so that they can demonstrate their full potential and teachability at every stage of the application process. All of our support is underpinned by this approach.
We provide subject-specific mentoring, interview preparation, subject-focused tutorials and admissions test preparation. For more information, please go to ‘Our Support’.
This year we are publishing a new, completely revised, third edition of our book ‘So you want to go to Oxbridge? Tell me about a banana...’ Over 200 pages packed full of research and up-to-date advice on preparing for Oxbridge, with contributions from former admissions tutors and teachers, this is the 2010 compendium of applying to Oxbridge!
To help us provide the best support, we work with a network of Former Admissions Tutors and over 700 Oxbridge graduates, many of whom have attained first class degrees and have embarked on further professional and academic qualifications. We are supported by our expert Advisory Board, whose members have been involved with the Oxbridge admissions process.
On behalf of everyone at Oxbridge Applications, I would like to wish you the very best of luck. Applying to Oxbridge can be a daunting (and lengthy!) process, but I know that if you have ability, talent, academic potential and intelligent preparation, then you have a strong chance of success.
Should you have any questions about the application process, please do not hesitate to get in touch with either myself, or one of our Oxbridge consultants, Rachel or Jane (both of whom wrote Tell me about a banana) or Sarah.
All best,
