Oxbridge interviews are known to be the challenging aspect of the application process. Many applicants are unsure of how best to prepare.
To help students in their preparation, Oxbridge Applications runs a series of nationwide Interview Preparation Days throughout November and into December.
These are one-day events for Year 13 students which include workshops on interview skills, what the admissions tutors are looking for and one-on-one interview with full feedback.
We also run private Interview Preparation Days in schools, following the same programme. For in-school events, we require a minimum of 50 students per event but this can include students from schools in the surrounding area.
Our Programme
Each Interview Preparation Day consists of three main components. These combine to ensure that applicants gain the interview skills and experience they need to perform to the best of their ability in the real interview in December.
10.00 - 10.30: Introduction
The day begins for all applicants with a half hour talk on what makes a successful Oxbridge applicant, the aims of the day and a run through of the day’s programme.
10.30 -17.15: Three Main Components
Applicants are then divided into three groups and move around the three main components of the event. There is a thirty minute lunch break after the first component.
17.15 – 17.30: Plenary
Applicants come together in one group to review the day and to put together an action plan.

Choosing your Interview Preparation Day Package
Applicants require varying levels of support. This is why we offer two Interview Preparation Day packages so that you can choose which best accommodates your needs.
